After Pakistan Prime Minister interview on HBO, I have to say this “And then you say there is Islamophobia”. This interview has provoked lot of international eyebrows, some people are very vocal in expressing their distaste for such statements but mind you lot of people might not be expressing their views but they will be using these statements as a standard to view and weigh on pakistanis.
This same applies to India. If in the future, any leader of India chooses to spew such venom on issues of fundamental rights, expect treatment based on the standards of such venom.
Now, Pakistani Prime Minister used a very beautiful word (sarcasm) called ‘Cultural Imperialism’ by west on Pakistan. His whole talk during the interview brought the absurdity to a new high level when he mentioned this term, fact remaining he goes to talk on the Western media.
Countries of South East Asian ( that includes India also) and of Islamic region never fails to mention west for corrupting culture, whenever the fundamental rights, particularly of women, are discussed. For these countries, the cultural imperialism is more vocalised when they feel that families have been destroyed by western culture.
It’s time now to ask all these countries and many people who blame west for any deviation from their superior cultures ” Are you for real”. People from Asia, Africa, Middle East or country with high level of poverty dream to go to these western countries.
The previous president of America, Mr. Donald Trump, with a haste imposed the ban on muslim immigration. What was the result? All the countries with majority of muslim population was accusing the then President of America of racism and Islamophobia.
Always accusing west for your failures to not being capable of allowing an individual to live with dignity and then acting like victim is no different from racism exhibited by Mr. Donald Trump.
Do real families really exists in countries like Pakistan and Afghanistan, where for even small mistakes by wife, the husband has been instructed by God to discipline women in steps. Actually, women fear the men in their families. If these countries think fear is needed for maintaining families, then I truly understand why these countries are considered unsafe at international levels.
The primary question here is, if you feel that west imposes it’s values on you, then why even go to western countries for education and jobs or for that for a better life?
Turkey President was lamenting on International Refugees Day that Nato alliance which comprises mostly western countries do not share equal responsibility for taking in refugees as Turkey. After what Pakistani Prime Minister has said, I really understand why west is becoming so paranoid on taking in refugees particularly of Islamic world.
What amuses you more is that if Pakistani Prime Minister feels so repressed by West ideologies, why go and give interview on western media? Moreover, based on your own statements, when are criticised, then start talking of manipulation by western media.
The logic you apply with regard to rape applies to you too. If women wearing short clothes tempts men and invites them for rape, then similarly, if you mouth your mouth to utter garbage talks, then you tempt people to judge you and have phobia of you. It’s common sense.
It is becoming a fashion in India and other countries, whenever there is a criticism of failures, start blaming west culture. But then you are a hypocrite of the highest order.
You never stop using western technologies. You never stop the high business models adopted in the western countries. You never fail to stop any source of income that comes from the western countries. You never stop demanding that you be given immigration in western countries. You just never stop asking from western world at any point.
Kangana Ranaut, an ultra nationalist, never stops using Twitter on her own unless suspended, or for that matter Instagram and Facebook. But for her west is enslaving India.
Coming back to Pakistan Or to any Islamic country, where are women wearing short clothes? Pakistani dramas as per my knowledge never show women wearing short clothes. So, where is Pakistani men finding women wearing short clothes so that they can rape them? But wait, this is still west’s fault. You forgot Hollywood and then Bollywood. See if nothing is there to pin point, blame imaginary world for your lack of morals.
I am not going to mince words here: Where there is no equality for women, all these countries are suffering from violence and acute backwardness. These countries citizens keep seeking refugee and immigration in these safe western countries and then start feeling discriminated.
If today French people do not accept women with burkha, now I feel they are entitled to do so. If every religiously conservative country is so hateful of the western culture in their homelands, then why should countries like France be enforced to allow regressive and against their cultural ethos practices?
Western countries have been in the fore front since the 18th century in areas of science and technology and every other development. Other parts of the world mostly copies their knowledge shamelessly.
There is no shame to these western phobic countries in using western knowledge, but to them western culture is a shame. They very conveniently forget that this same western culture has given this world some of the greatest technologies and inventions which religiously Conservative countries use for destructive purposes.
Pakistani Prime Minister had no need to give his interview to foreign western media, but still he could not resist the charm of western glamour. Wait, he had to talk in English here. Now, the western cultural imperialism is not offensive to him.
To all the Muslims, if you now feel Islamophobia more strongly now, please now don’t blame western countries now. Blame your own leaders for this phobia. Your leaders are making clear that their values do not want to treat human beings with dignity, so west also have a right to be apprehensive of you. You are the ones who do not want to accommodate their values.
Lastly, western world has its own faults. But it believes in confronting them and correcting them. It does not believe in hiding rapes or worse marry your rapist. Also, western world never comes knocking on your door for changing your culture, but you are the one who goes in then western world and forces your culture on them. Rather you mostly abuses its values and force your views on them.
