Why should the centre sit on the doorstep delivery of ration scheme of Delhi government? If objections and differences of opinions and ideas are thoroughly argued and debated, there isn’t much that lies ahead for the repulsive and reluctant BJP. Fair price shops aren’t as great as they look on paper, with ration mafias charging exorbitant price for sale and supply to the common and ordinary.
In this direction, the situation should be better dealt with by the lieutenant governor of Delhi, who for all practical purpose is the administrative head of the union territory of Delhi as per the legislation passed in both houses of the Parliament.
Arvind Kejriwal has shown his sincerity for his people with utmost humility and honesty, be it mohalla clinics, beautifying government-run schools and boosting health care arrangements and facilities. I understand that if Kejriwal can implement the centre’s Ayushman Bharat policy in the capital, the centre can also heed his request by being dutiful to doorstep delivery of rations.
Why should there be any quarrel and conflict when it rescues the people by offering rations at reasonable prices. Shouldn’t there be a revision and resurrection of FPS for the better? The centre should immediately formulate and implement the Right to Food act for assessing, evaluating the shortcomings of FPS responsible for its downside.
At least someone has to take the plunge to dare the centre.
