Why I Think RSS Chief’s Assurance Of Secularism Is False Pretense

RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat statements of Hindus and Muslims having the same DNA and that the latter should give up on worries of threat to Islam smacks of disgruntlement, disillusion and Bhagwat’s short-sightedness in placing, putting and presenting the facts removed from reality.

Aren’t Indian Muslims being reminded of their place and position in the hierarchy – alienated, isolated and discriminated for their social, cultural and political values and belief system?

Thus, ensuring their segregation and ghettoisation complete severely impacting and influencing their involvement, interaction and integration with the mainstream society.

How else would they develop their esteem and empowerment if they are not accounted for and claimed as active agents and citizens of civil society groups? Ascendancy of Hindu right wing Bhartiya Janta Party in India has been violative of their contribution and dignity as first amongst equals.

Bills like ‘Triple Talaq’ and ‘Love Jihad’ are instances of rigged and hollow legislations reprimanding than reforming the Muslims of the country. Why are our leaders and politicians sceptical of their chances to overcome sources of conservatism if any?

I believe fiery polarizing speeches, sentences and statements by one side has aggravated the crisis and concerns from within the progressive and liberal sections of Muslims. I am made to understand that amendments should first begin from your end to win their trust and faith as for pluralism to exist and prevail. There shouldn’t be any mismatch.
