That moment when everything is going wrong and you feel that, that is the end of it all but the light is shown in your mind and something as a gut feeling lifts your spirits this is called hope. Just believing that something good Is hidden in the bad event instills hope in us. Hope can either be brought about injured in you or can be spread by positive people. This power of hope makes you come alive, it makes you stay calm and peaceful in hard times.

Representational Image. The power of hope is important in dark times.

In my personal life, this feeling of the power of hope has kept me going during this pandemic because I believe that something good always happens after the bad times or even during the bad times. While many lost their jobs during the pandemic, many became millionaires, some Started their own businesses and are running them well. Good days and bad days come and go but it’s all about holding on, keeping faith, and believing in something good. Even if you are going through something bad at the moment, for instance: unable to find the right one, or not having enough friends who would support you or something in your college or career, believe in yourself that someday, something good will happen in your life and that will change your life and perception.

According to the Journal of Personality, 2007, students having higher hope had lower measures of depression and anxiety. In fact, it also reduces feelings of helplessness, increases happiness, reduces stress, and improves our quality of life. As you can see the topic of my article, the full form of hope – “Hold On, Pain Ends”, so whenever you have lost faith, remember this full form. Whatever we are going through currently, this too shall pass.

To conclude, a quote by Anne Frank sums it all up, “When there is hope, there is Life”. Please keep in mind that nothing lasts forever, it always gets better. I promise you that!
