Teenagers Are Ready To Talk About Their Problems, But Are You Ready To Listen To Them?

Every teenager goes through so many heart breaks, and phases of depression, anxiety and loneliness, all of which might lead to mental problems. Our society think that all of this came out because “the teens out there are so much influenced by the outside world.” They’re too addicted to the culture of the West. They have forgotten about their true identity and culture, and have brought many foreign things to their lives.

Well, people may think that’s the real problem or that’s a problem at all. They never see the missing lanes on the roads of a teen’s journey. They never want to accept that they have brought a lot of pain to the teen community by ignoring their concerns. They don’t understand the difference between generations. They simply want to raise us the way our grand generation raised them. But how can that be possible?

We need your assistance rather than your avoidance of us.
We need your understanding rather than your judgements.
We need your full attention rather than separation.
We need to be saved rather than be ignorant towards our problems.

We really want to speak about everything with our parents, elders and someone who knows more than us. Yes, we do. But the question is, are you ready to listen? It’s possible you hear me and yet always misunderstand my ideas because you weren’t ready to listen!
