“Some Heroes Don’t Wear Capes”: A Letter To COVID Warriors

Dear Doctors, Nurses & Healthcare Workers,

I don’t have any words to thank you for your immense contribution to humanity. I would fail as a person, if I don’t show my gratitude to you for your great sacrifice. I show my sincere gratitude to each one of you.

When everything is settled & restored in this world, when you are free from your responsibility and when you are happy, accept my gratitude with smile.

Someone once said, “Some heroes don’t wear capes, we call them doctors!’’ and this is true. As we entered into the third decade of the twenty-first century, the COVID outbreak happened, turning hospitals into battlefields & medical staff into soldiers.

Representational image.

You all are sticking to your responsibilities in this situation of danger & going directly to the battlefield. We all know that medical profession is perhaps the most prestigious yet challenging one. You as doctors remove miseries & save lives, and that is the reason why you are often considered equivalent to god.

You all have been selflessly serving humanity day & night, without caring about yourselves and your families. You are risking your lives & refrain from seeing your families out of fear of infecting them.

People may forget your efforts over time, but I hope in future this letter would remind few people & the future generation about your greatest dedication, commitment & sacrifice ever done to this world.

Yours lovingly,

People who selflessly love you
