All About The YUVA Pradhan Mantri Yojana 2021 For Young Writers

The Government of India started a new scheme on 29 May, 2021. The name of this scheme is YUVA (Prime Minister’s Scheme For Mentoring Young Authors). This scheme has been started for budding writers of the country. This is a great opportunity for writers who want to hone their writing skills. The programme has been started by the Department of Higher Education under the Ministry of Education.

What Is YUVA?

The Central Government has started this Writer Consulting Program to encourage young writers of the country as a . The scheme will provide a platform to all young writers on which all writers can submit their articles.

The Ministry officials have said that this counselling programme is for writers below 30 years of age. This scheme will encourage a reading and writing culture among the youth. Under this scheme, India and Indian writing will be represented at the global level.

According to the Ministry of Education, the youth will be encouraged to write about India’s freedom struggle. Under the YUVA scheme, young writers will be creatively exposed to freedom fighters, heroes, and unknown and forgotten places, and the role that they played in the national movement.

This scheme will help in developing a stream of writers who can write about Indian heritage, culture and knowledge system etc. This scheme will be implemented under the systematic phases of the National Book Trust, India Protection under the Ministry of Education. Books prepared through the National Book Trust will be published and translated into many languages ​​to promote ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’.

Selection Process

Under this scheme, writers will be selected on the basis of an all-India competition. A total of 75 writers will be selected under this scheme. The winners will be announced on 15 August, 2021. They will then be trained through eminent writers and mentors. All manuscripts will be made ready for publication by 15 December, 2021, and released on National Youth Day i.e. 12 January, 2022.

Under the Yuva Pradhan Mantri Yojna, each writer will be given a scholarship of Rs 50,000 per month for six months. Young and budding writers of India under 30 years or less can participate in this scheme.
