Is Everything Well Between JP Nadda And Maneka Gandhi In The BJP?

At least a dozen other examples like this can be studied but whatever was witnessed at the BJP meeting remains clearly the latest one as well. Maneka Gandhi was sitting all alone on a corner chair of the meeting hall, there was some annoyance in her, as it could be guessed genuinely.

When the party president JP Nadda tried to know of this disposition, he asked his junior about her disappointment. The minion was dumbfounded and he moved toward the party’s other officeholder. However, it was noted as the principal highlight of the meeting.

It seemed like the film dialogue that goes: “Bade Bade Sharon Mein Choti Choti Baatein…” But if Babul Supriyo can get a chance to think over his particular decision, how can Maneka Gandhi be left unattended by the party president J P Nadda.

This gathering at Delhi’s Constitution Club was a tryout about the critical organisational discipline but the absence of two MPs certainly irked the Party President J P Nadda instantly. It is honestly correct that a leader keeps his soldiers intact and disciplined. So, absence without prior permission or information was not worth grasping for him.

Beefing up organisational strength before an important meeting can be a regular exercise but analysis of the parliamentarians attitude was also need of the hour. The party braces itself for detailed strategies regarding next year’s assembly polls in Uttar Pradesh. Attendance of the MPs or breaking it down to the bottom level with their unfair absence indicate much about party’s internal story.

There could be multiple layers to the story and the more you dig, the deeper your understanding goes. Moreover, there is a special kind of learning by Maneka Gandhi’s upsetting and aloofness. An insight that settles into politicians’ gut expands an innate sense of what works and what does not.

From the political perspective, it was easy to assess the parliamentarians’ mood and come up with a take to pitch. Having the inside knowledge remains always crucial to the party’s success because it helps to define the party’s direction.

Was it not a disturbing sight for the party’s boss at the meeting. Though absence of a few parliamentarians was told due to their pre-fixation, JP Nadda, national president, had to approach Maneka Gandhi, MP, from Sultanpur, for she was sitting on a chair far away from the gathering.

She was reported to have been reclining in a corner of the Constitution Club Hall. When Nadda asked Arun Singh, MP, Rajya Sabha why was she sitting all alone? In turn, he told about this question to Sunil Bansal, General secretary (Organisation). Afterwards, he approached and implored her to sit on another chair. The matter settled as she adjusted her seat side by side throughout the meeting, as reported.

Nadda looked irritated at the absence of both the MPs, i.e., Ravi Kishen and Hema Malini. There was no previous information about their absence from the meeting. While Rajnath Singh had timely informed of his incapability to attend because of a foreign trip, the party president was unhappy at the absence.

The meeting continued for one long hour. Party’s state chief SD Singh was also present in the meeting. The MPs were told to take out a “ashirwad yatra” in their respective constituencies. They were directed to  visit in open Jeep and also to not only learn of the various welfare plans commenced during the past Corona wave but also check the progress of the vaccination campaign in every village.
