Let us tell you that in the second match of the series played at Lord’s, the Indian cricket team had set a target of 272 runs for the victory in front of the hosts. And England were bundled out for just 120 runs. With this, the Indian team took the lead in the series after India won by 151 runs.

On the last day of the match at Lord’s ground, the Indian cricketer team did something that was hardly expected. The Indian players first declared the innings by scoring 298 runs in front of the host team and then on 120 runs, the Indian team forced the England cricket team to kneel before the whole of India. Hardly anyone would have thought before the start of the 5th day. Team India scored 364 runs in the first innings, in return England scored 391 runs and took a marginal lead of 27 runs.

Mohammad Siraj left Kapil behind

Siraj took a total of 8 wickets in the Lord’s Test in the first and second innings combined. In the first innings, he took the wicket of 4 batsmen for 94 runs in 30 overs. Bowling 10.5 overs, gave 32 runs in the second innings and took 4 wickets. He bowled 40.5 overs in both the innings in this match and took 126 runs for 8 wickets. Let us tell you that this is the best performance of any Indian bowler on this ground.

At Lord’s, Kapil Dev bowled 53 overs and dismissed 8 batsmen for 168 runs.
In 2007, former veteran RP Singh took 7 wickets for 117 runs in both the innings here. This was India’s best bowling performance before Siraj’s performance on 16 August. In 1996, Venkatesh Prasad took 7 wickets for 130 runs.
