Poem: The Political Arena Of This Nation Is In Danger

India protest fascism poster

Just gotten vaccinated today, brought out my art.
Subliminal yet relatable to my peers.
The heart keeps throbbing until the stroke of midnight just like Nehru announced less than 100 years ago. Bose said well cut that Netaji.

Subhash Chandra Bose wanted his ideals to be followed so he was disregarded by freedom fighters.
So, like a wanderer, Bose took refuge amid the Fascists. He is now used as a political symbol for state assembly elections wherein linguistic barriers are used simultaneously.

Tagore’s Geetanjali got lost in translation.
Netaji was the one who called Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi “the Father of our Nation” while sitting in a fascist country.
Gandhian Socialism’s dissemination or recourse was done by his followers for the sake of political gains. Jinnah and Nehru both respected Gandhi-ji until they sat on their seats.

Representative Image.

Today, the legacy of Gandhian Socialism is in danger.
Today, my Indian Constitution is in danger. It’s grieving in the museum.
Today, my democratic socialist spirit is in danger.
The Political arena of this Nation is in Danger.

So, bloodlines and poison are in my heart tonight as I got vaccinated today.
My soul is hurting as I woke up listening to “tumse hi karni hogi shuruwaat, banaye swacch bharat”.
I am sleeping again as the sound is sharpening, I can’t. I cannot sleep!

Tears with tea in the morning… Was I dreaming?
She asked herself, as she suddenly woke up.
