Can The Taliban Be Trusted As An Alternative?

Taliban fighters

American President Joe Biden squarely stands by his statements and sentences on the U.S. withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan. But the casualties, chaos and conflicts descending on the soil of Afghanistan makes us wary and worried given the intent of the Taliban to transform the nation into an Islamic Emirate.

Representative Image.

Apart from the support being offered to the insurgents from Russia, Turkey and China, considering the stability, sovereignty and security of the country plagued with patches. I am of the opinion that the Taliban shouldn’t desist from announcing its political goals and objectives, assuring, acknowledging and fulfilling the queries and concerns of common and ordinary.

The Doha agreement was no eyewash and the group will have to keep with its commitment to ensuring the rights and liberty of people as I fear this may be sentenced to scrutiny for being antithetical to Sharia guiding and illuminating Islamic vices and virtues. Can the Taliban be trusted at all as an alternative?
