I Have Been Body-Shamed, But I Don’t Care About Society’s “Perfect” Standards

I am obese, not in the perfect shape which people look for in a girl if you want to be someone’s girlfriend or wife. So, I am always prone to be body shamed. But I never felt a need to be stereotypically perfect because being a grown-up I know my needs. I never want to be in perfect shape for the fear of being rejected because being that perfect gives chills to my bones.

Representative Image.

I have only learnt to be an original version of myself and if I change for others then I will not be original and I will spend my whole life finding the original sarcastic girl I am.

You live in a society where you always cross your paths with negative and positive people and the negatives always try to negate your positives.

So, it’s ok to be fat, dark, brown or any other not so “normal” trait which society defines. It’s ok not to fit in the definition of being beautiful because it’s not a crime. But losing your own originality is the biggest transgression which I or any other person can commit.

So, all those who are original, never thought of change to impress others, I bow to you. Being bold and confident are the only prerequisites to live peacefully.
