Hello readers, I am writing for the first time on this platform.
Let me ask you a couple of questions:
- At what age of your life did you decide what you want to do with it?
- Do you have a strategy to execute right before the end of schooling to reach your aim?
Talking specifically about students from rural India, they only know of a few career opportunities. According to the following data, students majorly know about seven different ones:
Ideally, how should one choose their career? Unfortunately, our education system lacks in curriculum that actually helps students to explore their hidden talents, up-skill etc. Rather, it is more focused on marks. It has a marks-based orientation rather than a knowledge-based one.
Since students are unaware of various career opportunities, they end up doing something common or irrelevant to their passion, hobbies and interests. They remain unhappy for the rest of the lives and keep blaming their guardians, or parents, or the education system.
In this modern era, there is a need for educational consultancy and a good curriculum that enables student to explore various career opportunities along with building on their talents.
