These times haven’t been easy for any of us, every person has their share of challenges. As a high school student, it is that time of my life when I have to buckle up and achieve my goals. Life would be full of such troubles and in the future, there will be more obstacles arriving our way.
We have to work with a fortified spirit because this time will not come again. Looking at Covid from a different perspective, I got a lot of chances to help my community and understand more about people’s grievances. This brought me closer to the people and made me realize certain important things in life. Gratitude is one such thing. There was a phase when I was extremely jaded by online education and even wrote an article about how it is affecting me.
But now I have adapted it, and I learned that adaptation to new things in life is a life skill. To stay energized, ask yourself a question, ” why am I here?“. In my perspective, we are the youth of a highly advanced generation and it should be our duty to use our skillset and abilities towards making our society strong. I see the underprivileged children in my neighborhood quite a bit and it pains my heart. I see them without any masks, slippers, or amenities. All they want is some food to keep themselves alive.
It pushed me back. At that moment I realized how blessed I am to have a roof over my head, food to eat, parents to look after me, and an alternate source of education. We as humans have a purpose in life, but that purpose becomes even stronger when it is for society as a whole. For instance, my goal is to become a female entrepreneur but it becomes stronger when I keep in mind that achieving this dream would not only benefit me but set an example for all the women in society, and this keeps moving me forward. Conclusively, we as the youth must realize our crucial role in society and work with an unending spirit for making our future selves as well as our society proud of us.
