IPL 2021: Best IPL team on basis of performance of each team in this season

It’s been more than 2 weeks into the IPL tournament this year, and the first phase of IPL 2021 for matches has come to an end. Chennai Super King has dominated other IPL Teams again with 5 wins from 6 games.

So, how did the teams perform overall till now in this IPL 2021? Which players played well in this IPL 2021 and which players flunked in the batting, fielding, and bowling area? Let’s discuss it all in this article. The overall rating for IPL 2021 is calculated based on their performance of a particular team in all areas, in the batting department, in the fielding area, and the bowling dept. By calculating performance in these 3 categories, the overall rating is calculated of all IPL teams.  These ratings will decide the future of Players and teams in the upcoming IPL 2022 Tournament.

Kolkata Knight Riders

KKR has only managed to win 2 games from 6 matches and is currently strangling at the Fifth position of the points table, even being the most balanced squads & strong middle-order in this IPL tournament. All this due to the incorrect team selection and inconsistent batting order in IPL 2021.

The batting and bowling department haven’t clicked well for Kolkata Knight Riders.  Shubman Gill has not played a single valuable knock yet in this IPL season. Nitish Rana showed good performance in the initial few matches, but nothing in the remaining matches.

Punjab Kings

Punjab Kings started their campaign with a close win against Rajasthan Royals, but managed to win 2 games from 6 matches, and are currently strangling at the Sixth position of the points table. As a team, there are a few blunders in the team selection, bowling department is looking dependant on Shami and Arshdeep `from the performance point of view. KL Rahul did well in a couple of matches.

Rajasthan Royals

Rajasthan Royals only managed to win 2 games from 5 matches, and are currently strangling at the Seventh position of the points table. Not a good start for the Rajasthan Royals team in this IPL season, but they played better cricket than last season in these 5 matches so far.

Mumbai Indians

Mumbai Indians are the strongest and best team on paper ahead of IPL 2021, but a not so strongest performance in this season of IPL tournament so far. With 2 wins from 5 games, the MI team is politely sitting at the number 4 position in the points table.

Sunrisers Hyderabad

Sunrisers Hyderabad team is Struggling to find the right balance in all 6 matches, SRH has begun this IPL Season with just 1 win from 6 games, and is currently sitting at the bottom position on the points table. Jonny Bairstow and Rashid Khan is the best player of Sunrisers Hyderabad so far in the IPL tournament. Both have performed outstanding in almost all the matches, and have led the SRH team from the front.

Chennai Super Kings

After the worst performance in the IPL 2020, MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings back to their original best self. Having played 6 matches so far, Chennai Super Kings have managed to win 5 of them, and their only defeat came against Delhi Capitals. Overall, CSK Team is the current table-toppers with a healthy NRR of +1.475.

Royal Challengers Bangalore

After their expensive buys of Glenn Maxwell and Kiwi Kyle Jamieson, Royal Challengers Bangalore has done extremely well in the tournament so far. They are second on the table with 5 wins from 6 games so far, and their only disappointing defeat came against Chennai Super Kings. Royal Challengers Bangalore’s top 4 batters are showing the best batting performance among all the teams.

Delhi Capitals

Delhi Capitals team is sitting comfortably at number 3 position; Delhi Capitals have won 4 out of 6 games so far. The team has a healthy NRR of +0.269. The batting for Delhi Capitals is in good form so far. Rishabh Pant has provided the stability in a couple of matches.
