Poem: Sandglass

Do we need somebody or are we enough?
Whether it’s nobler to wish for peace,
Or accept the pit chosen for us to fight in,
Without cowering or caring,
With faith unbent and unwavering,
Reminding ourselves that what we are now,
Was always what was in making in the past,
We shall now be what we should have always been,
Without any needs, only and only tough…

Arms and feet, and my mind and my heart have walked so far away from all my old lies,
Feels too light, like a bird after taking its flight in the skies.
I seek her and wisdom,
I seek truth and not a kingdom,
I seek that monument of patience,
I seek love in my occupations,
I seek forgiveness in repetitions,
I seek repentance in accepting invitations,
When I seek a life beyond,
Then, I waste a life within my hands,
I wonder if the maker of sandglass ever realised,
That she or he has found a way, to kill men before their time,
That it is their labour, the one that assists the undertaker,
That it is their sweat, which makes all men count their every breath,
While the sand lasts, all shadows are cast,
When it’s empty, the men as they were don’t last,
It’s a humble truth,
It’s a miraculous birth,
It’s as incredible as the melody of nightingale’s singing,
It’s as joyous as jolly people drinking,
It’s as if the World have never spun,
That I long for somebody, for whom, I could have been the One.
