A majority of the youth loves playing this addictive game. It is neither beneficial nor does it provide any knowledge. Instead, it is creating a gap among people and their loved ones. Some kids have started playing this game too.

Even though it is age-restricted, children still download it from play store. Parents should pay attention to their children’s gaming activity.

PUBG stands for player unknown battleground. This shooting game is played online. Let us consider the negative parts of this game, as there is no such advantage we get from playing this game.

Disadvantages Of Playing PUBG

1. It is an extremely addictive game.

2. Young people are wasting their money on it by purchasing passes.

3. Continuously playing this game will lead to weakness of the sight.

4. This game indirectly brainwashes the youth.

Why Is PUBG Addictive?

Some young people waste around three to four hours playing this game. Young people can give each other challenges, take this game seriously, and play it all night long. This is indirectly affecting their studies as well as careers.

One of the other thing youngsters like about this game as it is free to play. Many famous YouTubers started streaming the game on their YouTube channels. However, they are a streamer and they are promoting this game. They are earning a lot from streaming it. But, a regular person ends up wasting their time as a result.

Some youngsters, instead of sleeping at night, love playing PUBG. They stay awake for the whole night, which is indirectly affecting their mental health. Barely a few months ago, an incident to do with an adolescent’s attempted suicide due to this game, was trending on the news.

In July 2020, a 13-year-old kid from Nagpur attempted suicide because he lost a game of PUBG. He became discouraged in the wake of losing a game. He happened to be the child of a cop. I believe that this incident also influenced the ban.

Why Did The Indian Government Ban PUBG?

The Indian government banned PUBG because it was one of the many Chinese-supported applications on play store and app store. Hence, 117 different applications were banned for security reasons.

As it’s a Chinese-supported application, not a Chinese-made one, the other reason for its restriction is on the grounds that such apps take all the information that is replicated onto the clipboard of the individual’s mobile phone.

Hope you all understood the drawbacks of playing PUBG. We should focus on other things instead of investing our precious time in playing such addictive games.
