Contribution of Rabindranath Tagore in Indian politics

Rabindranath Tagore is one of the most famous and distinguished personalities of West Bengal. He was considered a great writer and philosopher in India, and also worldwide. Through his reforms for society, people admired and respected him sincerely.

Tagore was a bud of a flower in Bengal after that it had blossomed due to his approaching to social reforms and political activities.

His most notable work is foundation of Shantiniketal as have anticipated the beneficial for every generation and vishhavarti was one his most influential work, after that it became famous bid by bid in all India. Later this he started to approach to literature, his unforgettable activity was writing Gitanjali and it had translated in various languages, such as English, Sanskrit and in other language.

In addition, it is our proud that Rabindranath Tagore is the first writer in the Asia, who has Nobel Prize in 1913. So he had invited by different countries as admirable person and he got more awards from different foreign countries. Rabindranath Tagore’s poetic song had viewed as spiritual and more effectively among the people.

By 1877, he graduated to his first short stories and dramas, published under his real name. As was a humanist, Universalist and internationalist. He advanced a vast area that comprised paintings, sketches and doodles, hundreds of text, and some two thousand songs. His novel, stories, songs, dance-dramas, and essays spoke to topics political and personal.

Gora {fair faced} and Ghare-Baire {The home and the world} is his best-known works of Bengali literature. His anthem considered as national anthem among the people, first India’s national anthem “Jana Gana Mana” and Second Bangladesh’s anthem “Amar Sonar Bangla”. After that, he wrote six poems relating to Sikhism and a number of articles in Bengali child magazine about Sikhism. Later he returned to Jorosanko and completed his major works by 1877, one of them a long poem in the Maithili style of vidyapati.

After that, he had involved in the matter of Nationalism of different countries as reformer, such as China, Japan and Europe. He has many contributions during freedom struggle with Mahatma Gandhi; he gave us a structure to live with equality through his influential poems and article. These two things were so prominent for Indian people in that time.

Moreover, by this unique achievement people were so aggressive for development of the society, so one of who quoted about him.

“Through Tagore India has given his massage to mankind and his unique achievement in the field of literature, philosophy of education and art have won imperishable fame for himself and have raised the status of India in the estimation of the world”.

So Rabindranath Tagore was a great reformer of west Bengal in each and every prominent works, he have contributed as great socialist of our India.

It is true that Rabindranath Tagore was a good leader among the society, as he shows the real path to all people and he taught them about the better position of human life. When British government was ruling in India, they implemented so many bad cultures in our society.  Such as dancing, drinking and dressing foreign cloth, in that time Rabindranath Tagore defended him to close these kinds of cultures, so bid by bid Tagore changed those cultures from Indian people through his poetry and letters. In addition, Rabindranath Tagore gave the society a remarkable educational structure by establishing an educational center in Shantiniketan. Therefore, Rabindranath Tagore was a great political leader in which he have played key role in Indian politics among the society. In addition, his most important work was, saving the communities from all bad cultures of British government.  We know that Rabindranath Tagore’s services not only in political movement and good leadership but Tagore’s all songs are acceptable among the different communities as guidance of a spiritual leader, because in 1915 it was horrible massacre in Jallianwalah Bagh in which British killed at least 379 unarmed civilians then Rabindranath Tagore solved that huge problem holding a strong lecture.

As the gravity of his peaceful environment spread out among the people, he gave the idea of unity between Hindu and Muslim. It is a great effort by him because in the time of independence, there are so many problems and conflict happened between Hindu and Muslim religion, he handled that all problems through his political thought and he made a beautiful environment each other. After that, Tagore started to write about unsystematic nation and unstructured political system trough his poem.
