Its Politics Plus Perception

How would a Congress giving tickets to 40% women candidates in Uttar Pradesh explain its dwindling fortunes? Though it’s a welcome and bold  move by Priyanka Gandhi after assuming charge of a state crucial for the fortunes of grand old party where it has been trying harder and harder for recovering it’s lost ground but a lot more depend on alliances, accomodations and coalitions if it were to politically re invent and reorient itself. In Bihar the party has been experimenting with Rashtriya Janta Dal for a while straining their ties with RJD fielding it’s candidates in the by polls for Kusheshwar Sthan and Tarapur scheduled for October 30th. Maybe, this could have serious implications as for the grand old party scuttling the chances of established political parties taking the fight to Bhartiya Janta Party- Samajwadi Party and Rashtriya Janta Dal in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Warranting the attention of the top brass if the party were to reconfigure like minded secular parties as an alternative to people’s objective and agenda- education to employment than just blabbering  for want of better options and opportunities. I maintain that any scheme or policy can only prosper if there is a near found consensus on it and not otherwise as for UPA government from 2004-14 when all important legislations were reached by taking all constituents into confidence from a MNREGA, Right to Food, Right to Education and all. Shouldn’t the leadership take a lesson or two from it slipping into the oblivion with an interim president hinting and hitting out of no where projecting his pick. Better challenges awaits Congress for it to enter into an electoral understanding and equations merely broadcasting an announcement won’t create difference on the ground at all. First family should know this better for the sake of it
