“मैं यहां भूख हड़ताल पर बैठूंगा। इसके बाद मैं मौन हूं कोई बात नहीं करूंगा।” These were the words of Navjot Singh Sidhu who expressed his feelings before the situation. Whatever he has determined will be followed by him till the goal is not achieved. It was surely his decision to remain speechless, quiet, tight-lipped and voiceless till the last second of the arrest of the accused wanted in the Lakhimpur violence case.
A little change, if we say, will his quiet resentment bring him the CM post?
He will stay strong on his spoken words. Though it was for the News 24 anchor a bit ridiculous, as he mentioned during his hotly debated news based show recently. In a video, Sidhu was plainly shown nearly sitting on a dharna spot and indicating his ardent followers silently to leave the place or go. He hinted exactly through his hands in the air.
How could a talkative man remain silent till uncertain time? And yet, as happens so frequently when he speaks something that makes his party rivals furious, he does not seem to mind too much. What he has recently earned from the High Command is that he has not been thrown out of his post as the Punjab Congress chief despite prompt resignation for what his opponents contend was a needless song by him.
It appeared merely opposition and small-mindedness. Someone or a group of someones were not likeable to him, and the political leaders responded over it as always works out.
In the political spectrum, honesty loses its high significance and the politicians do not at least consider themselves to be honest and shout it what it is: While leadership fragility can not deal with such a normal trend.
Sidhu has asserted his perceptions and assumptions. If these articular ideas ruin every political move, it does not bother him all the more. It is now ascertained that they hold him especially favourite, and he just cannot have that at the cost of his perceptional notions.
