Recently I have created a new page on Instagram named The Online Cafe. It is a platform for all kinds of artists such as painters, singers, poets, and anything related to art. This is a platform where you can express yourself.
The main idea behind this platform is that the artist will be paid 50 Rs for every piece of art posted on the page. People often ask me why am I giving payment to the artist?
To this, I answer that I am giving the payment because I have this vision that an artist has the right to earn for themselves through the medium of their art. The right to earn for their livelihood is essential for the dignity of every individual.
I know you must be thinking about how I would pay but I want to do this from the bottom of my heart. I want to pay them then maybe eventually, I’ll start to get funds. I have this vision and I feel strongly about this mission.
The world needs artists to view the world differently than it is. An artist is the most valuable gem of society. So, in my point of view, their art should be appreciated by giving them the remuneration that they deserve.
My inspiration behind creating this platform came from my own life experiences. There were many times when I worked on my writings but I didn’t receive any payment in return. This made me feel frustrated and sad. This is why when I thought about starting a new page on Instagram. I decided that I would not publish anyone’s art on my page without giving them a certain amount as an enumeration.
