‘Bachpan Ka Pyar’: Is Pop Culture Corrupting Young Minds?

What does this new pop culture have in the books for us for the new generation who has been going crazy about following trends? These loud trends and unnecessary elements that are part of social media are killing the thinking capacity as well as other innumerable aspects of a child’s future in a devastating way.

Right now, we are probably not acknowledging the danger that lies in this, but I am sure I am not the only one who is feeling this way. Do we know our future generations are in danger?

The recent trend of the song Jane Meri Janeman, Bachpan Ka Pyaaris an aesthetic example of the fear that I am trying to highlight in this article. Sahadev, a child, got all the limelight for singing lyrics that have no meaning. It is also a bad influence for the rest of the kids.

To  begin with, do you know the lyrics went viral? Because human brains often get attracted to loud and meaningless things as they are easy to retain than any other erudite or enlightening piece of information.

This is not it. After Sahadev got felicitated by the Chhattisgarh government, he was offerred the opportunity to set his feet on the platform Indian Idol. I mean, why?

The song neither has lyrics nor rhythm. Wasn’t it just an effort of seeking good compliments in order to make a poor boy famous? It didn’t help, in my opinion. I am darn sure this is not just me being an unnecessary opinionated person.

I am happy Sahadev got stardom and even got Badshah and Aastha Gill to feature in his creation. Yet, I have this opinion that this was highlighted in an enormously wrong way.

Every second person is singing the song as if it is classical or rap. It’s not closer to any sort of rap.

Do you know why the  music of ‘The Rap King’, Eminem, was difficult to learn or even understand. Nevertheless, he remains everyone’s favourite. It is because to be someone like him, one needs to put effort and have some guts; this is unlike creating something like this “bachpan ka pyaar”. Maybe it will go viral like it did. Our future is in serious danger.

This is ending the creativity and corrupting the IQ level of people. I hope this article will be widely shared and help us create awareness about the same. Not all trends are worth following and felicitating.
