In the village of Salempur under the police station Ramkot of Sitapur, on Friday night, Manuvadis in the village damaged Ambedkar’s statue and broke it.
An application has been given by the villagers to the concerned police regarding this incident, in which the complainants have written that the idol of Baba Saheb was kept in the village with the consensus of the villagers for the last several years. At that time no one had any objection. But last night some people of Manuwadi ideology have broken the idol of Baba Saheb by mutilating it. It has also been mentioned in the application that this incident has been carried out in the opinion of the village head of Salempur.
There is a lot of resentment among the villagers due to this incident. There is a lot of outrage among the Bahujans over the incident.

The Bhim Army team reached the same spot and interacted with the villagers. There has been talk about taking action against the anarchists constitutionally. Giving information to the correspondent, the President of Bhim Army from Sitapur, Ajit Bharti has said that a new statue of Baba Saheb has been placed. Bhim’s army chief demanded that the accused be sent to jail so that no further major incident should happen. Matters are now calm.
