Poem: All In The Name Of Sociology

White painted hall, whiteboard written with the topic “basic sociology” wooden desk, textbook open, pencil poised, Marx’s poster on the wall,
the consciousness of revolution flying across the white marker board. And the floating clouds of anger against capitalism.

My eyes were straight against the white marker board but my mind roaming out in the garden. Oh, concentrate now, where is this class?
My pencil nib taps the paper, my mind confused and in a mess, it seems I’m searching for an answer.

The dominant floating clouds of revolution, class struggle, class consciousness, alienation, classless society taps the bell of my mind.
While the capitalism from the small circle of my inner world confronts to tackle the Marxism by cloudburst of the spirit of capitalism, “time is money, earning money is a legitimate end in itself and it’s people’s duty to increase their wealth. Capitalism will teach you how to live and achieve and find value in yourself as an individual. Capitalism regards the importance of the individual.”

In the rivalry of communism and capitalism that basic sociology got into mess. Compare and contrast in the name of sociology:

The Art of positivism,
The philosophy of imagination.
The psychology of socialisation,
The physiology of relationship.
The economics of capitalisation.
The politics of poverty.
The poetry of values, norms and mores,
The history of conflict and revolution.
The calculus of culture,
The architecture of kinship.
The geology of religion,
The astronomy of total control,
And the sociology of change and institutions.

Guys who wrote hypothetical concepts now put them in the skies essential to sociology.
Talking like mathematics (1+1=2) and call itself a science, all in the name of sociology. In the midst of making differences between Marxism, Leninism, Engelsism and Maoism, may we not forget Stalinism all in the name of sociology.
