With Work From Home, Our Monday’s Haven’t Been So Blue Any More

Everyone has a different experience. Monday blues depend on the roles each play in their lives. Some people are damn excited about Monday, and others feel, “Oh shit! It’s Monday again”. But the advent of remote work has changed the concept.

In the past, Monday’s were damn stressful. (Representational image)

It’s really hard to digest that we lived in a pandemic where people didn’t go to their workplaces for more than a year. But now is the time when organisations are looking for employees to return to work. Surveys are going-on in most organisations to get employees’ opinions on the same.

In the past, Monday’s were damn stressful. People avoided the stressful work environment, unnecessary arguments and long meetings. But in the pandemic, everyone had some relaxation to avoid that chaos and looked forward to some good and memorable times with their family and loved ones.

Many people started doing things that made them cheerful and more enthusiastic for a work-life balance. Some focused on their passion like dancing, painting, playing instruments etc., on the weekends, which reduced the effect of the upcoming weekday. Earlier, people got anxious about Mondays due to Friday’s pending tasks or some predefined task on Monday.

While we learnt a lot about professional and personal growth during these tough times, there were few who faced depression and mental stress due to loneliness and less human interaction.

Despite all this, people are comfortable with working remotely or from home instead of visiting office spaces. Therefore, we need to consider a few things before heading back to our monotonous routine again:

  1. Spend time with your loved ones and make them feel special.
  2. Work on your skills and improve the qualities in you.
  3. Maintain a work-life balance to avoid stressful situations.
  4. Do things that make you happy more often.

In short, do things that don’t make your Monday’s a bad dream. Though still, Monday is just like lying in bed and wishing it never comes.
