General Bipin Rawat will always be known for his exemplary leadership skills illustrated in strengthening the Indian Army, both swiftly and strategically responding to security threats, primarily from our neighbours, including Pakistan and China. He was always up for occasions and opportunities and resort to time-tested tactics.
Be it the Pathankot attack or the one in Galwan valley, the befitting reply by India was always the brainchild of Bipin Rawat. He was promoted from Army Chief to Chief of Defense Staff in 2019. Two successive surgical strikes on Pakistan soil were powerful testimonies of India’s stand when it came to maintaining territorial integrity and sovereignty, viz a viz the spreading of militancy and insurgency in states surrounding the border.
Bipin Rawat was the blue-eyed boy of the security establishment who exactly knew his rank and role when it came to discharging his duty. With utmost sincerity and satisfaction, he devoted, dedicated and trained himself to be selfless in his service to the nation and his motherland.
His untimely demise in a chopper crash at Tamil Nadu Coonur took away from us one of the most brilliant, bold and decorated army men who instilled in his deputies a great sense of present and history with which to look forward. May almighty offer courage to bereaved family members to bear this terrible loss that took away one of the most prized personalities.
