A Parliament Should Pertain To Policies Not Politics

indian parliament

The Indian Parliament has never been about pushing policies rather about putting politics first for piety electoral games, with the ruling centre sitting silently, reacting softly and not swiftly on areas and concerns impacting and influencing the common and ordinary alike.

Indian Parliament.

How would policies then be any beneficial for those it seeks to represent from a tribal to a schedule caste when the government finds itself in disarray, disquiet and dilemma, handling the pressure situation from within.

From not taking their allies into confidence to sidelining the opposition, Narendra Modi’s government has become notorious for ridiculing and reducing the constitutionally elected institutions from discharging their constitutionally defined duties as a guardian of laws. This is bound to create friction and not coordination between different groups and institutions. Doesn’t it sound weird?
