Pathetic Mindests: The Core Of All Soceital Problems

PSSB Students Silenced

I pen my thoughts here as I couldn’t control my emotions over certain issues, which seems to get hidden under the protests and overly done speeches. The misery is that the problem remains intact as it does not concern a particular theme or concept but the mindsets, which in my opinion are still persistent in the mentality of many individuals and need to be taught that “a no means a no.”

Yes, if someone says it’s a no, they are certainly not interested. I always reiterate an anecdote to elucidate my vision and perspectives. Today’s tale is from 2010 when Sona was in 12th standard with Fatima, Ruksar and Monica. The four used to spend their time together when one-day Ruksar and Fatima told Sona and Monika about a prankster who used to abuse them in class. They discussed with Sona and Monika that it is due to their brother, who is friends with these boys, who have warned them that they cannot trouble their sisters or pass comments in them whenever they enter the course or in recess or after school as well nowhere. The girls said nothing but this perplexes the mind of Sona, who later tells Monika that she now gets it as to why the troublemakers never really say anything to these two girls, Fatima and Ruksar, and the answer is because of their brother’s threats to them.

After this day and on the next consecutive day, Sona was constantly tolerating the weird comments and unnecessary hooting of the boys of her class. One time she saw something annoying; when a classmate Shubhi’s parents, entered the classroom to meet the class teacher, they all started laughing at the old couple. This perturbed Sona, but the weirdest part is that Mrs Anjana Massey’s class teacher did not say a word against it. The next time when Sona was troubled by the act of these boys, she complained to the Vice Principal. None of her female classmates cooperated with her, and as the principal was not in town, she filed a complaint against the lads to the VP.

Still, he too warned them and let go of the matter as if nothing had happened due to the high status of these guys; the boys always escape the consequences, but after this Sona was the prime target of those hooligan boys. She was constantly chased by them somewhere or the other. The scoundrels often teased her, and the worst part is her female classmates were friends with those boys, and despite knowing her problem, they didn’t support her, and the class teacher is always in favour of those boys.

Unable to cope with the situation, Sona does something unexpected. She finally took a significant step in her life to end the nonsense once and for all. She beats the boys black and blue till the boys fall on the ground to breathe their last few breaths before getting fainted. Sona calls the cops on the spot, files an FIR against those boys, and narrates how they troubled her and other school girls.

The boys were under arrest and beaten up by the police officers. They were expelled from the school, and the administration registered a complaint. Let us know your views, friends, what should be done under such circumstances, sit back or relax, wait and suffer or should it be the Sona way round. What she did was worth doing well. In my opinion, it is as troubling anyone in an inappropriate manner is a crime and inhumane offence. Tell us your views about the whole incidence in the comments box below?
