Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s security was breached in Punjab’s Ferozepur where he was scheduled to stop over for a rally announcing a slew of SOPS and schemes for the upliftment and welfare of people.
But at the first instance, it looks like he was staring at an opportunity to play the victim card to the fullest of his potentials, triggering and targeting Congress government of the state as for the first family which has always found a mention in his references, speeches and statements.
I believe it would have been better had he shirked from indulging in piety politics than to entertain the SPG officials over the already assigned route than for abrupt last-minute changes travelling by car to pay tributes to the martyrs at Hussainiwaala than taking a chopper to the rally venue.
Can his grudges and barbs against the Gandhi’s be at all justified as for his tactics of electoral rhetoric and propaganda ensuring his upper hand in convincing and conducting his base and constituency who for more than his development pitch reverberates and rejoices hearing of Congress’ shoddy programmes and policies responsible for their miseries and plunders as against a fine economic nationalism intertwined with the social and cultural indicators of identitarian politics of Hindutva which sees a BJP through in tough political claims and contest as with Prime Minister effectively exploiting this trick to his advantage be it on Demonetisation and GST shying away from addressing the loopholes and shortcomings?

Has PM forgotten what Meghalaya governor Satyapal Malik’s words on farmer deaths as for the former’s apathy and indifference towards it as Prime Minister isn’t literally bothered with who died and how many died exaggerating the figures and facts priding over a fantasy which is far more utopian than the reality itself?
Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi’s decision to order an enquiry by a retired high court judge into PMs security breach is laudable given the secrecy and sensitivity of it as central agencies too live up to its commitments by ensuring its possible resources to the state government as the committee should submit the detailed report in a day or two for any credible action against the culprits.
