Schools Remain Shut As Students Struggle To Adapt To Online Learning

Schools are strictly closed as Omicron is making its presence known in the country. Schools have been frequently shut down due to the waves of the virus. Will the pandemic ever end? Or, will it keep on coming back, create disasters and never leave?

Kids are affected and they miss their classroom routine. E-learning is a good alternative, but kids will take time to get habituated to it.

They are learning online, but they don’t have any physical contact with their teachers, classmates and books. They miss it!

Schools And Teachers Instill Discipline

They enjoy using the apps and learning from it, but still, a school is a school. Kids are naughty and they don’t learn from their parents, but they easily learn from their teachers.

Teachers make a society. They groom kids into skilled students and understand them. There is a strong bond between them. This is a missing factor in e-learning.

For example, kids wear uniform and go to school. This excites them and they become disciplined. They make a habit of waking up early, cleaning themselves. Through this, they learn about punctuality.

Schools Remain Shut For Now

When they learn online, they can sit over the Internet anytime. They can learn well, but they don’t learn discipline. They don’t have to wear a uniform and look at the watch to get to school on time.

Well, this is the only option right now. Schools are closed temporarily, not permanently. They will reopen after the lockdowns end. There should be an offline test when the schools are reopened.

I think that’s a good idea to motivate the kids. They should be given surprise tests, and gifts could be circulated among the best students.

Learning Apps Can Be Exciting To Use

Apps are interesting and kids get attracted to them. New apps are continuously being released and kids are learning through many of them.

They don’t waste time in calling their friends to come to their houses and playing with them. The apps are guiding kids. They like learning from images. These images guide them more than text could.

I think that when they see colorful images, they don’t feel like moving away from the (computer) system.

May god keep all the kids safe during the pandemic and give them the spirit to rise and learn online, so that they can do something in future!
