As India’s 73rd Republic Day Approaches, We Are Still A Developing Country

Children march in the colours of the Indian flag during a republic day parade.

Republic day, wow! Sounds flawless, doesn’t it? We are going to celebrate the 73rd republic day of our beloved country, India. But, in the current scenario, I can’t see that enthusiasm which used to be a part of the symbol of our joy.

I still recall how excited and proud we would get. As we kept getting older, we realised after a long time that our India couldn’t grow as much as we nurtured it. Unfortunately, we still fall in the category of a developing country.

It is true that the fine-tuning between the government and the public creates great impact. It can be done through transparency any determination.

Aam Aadmi Party has received universal praise for its focus on public heath and education. Representational image.

According to me, the chief minister (CM) of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal, and the deputy CM, Manish Sisodia, have done great work in the sectors of education, health, and helping the poor. They changed the picture of Delhi. It’s quite appreciable!

Farmers Fought Back Against The Most Powerful

We need to fight against corruption. Currently, it has entered all walks of life, but somewhere, we need to also prioritise the advancement of the country.

“What Young India Wants”, a book written by Chetan Bhagat, is quite good. But, what young India can do, in the presence of mediocrity, is a unsolved mystery as of now.

We must be mindful about all the situations prevailing in our country. We need to think about and execute the solution of a particular issue, by following law and order

Here, I would like to mention the farm laws, which were rejected by the farmers. One can understand how difficult the journey was for our kisaan bhai.

Remarkably, they fought against this corrupt aspects of privatisation, which is part of the Ambani-Adani culture, in my opinion.

Virtual Rallies, Not Physical Ones

Elections are approaching and the most surprising fact is that due to Omicron, the parties are not able to hold rallies on the road. We are seeing virtual rallies instead.

The positive here is that lots of money can be saved and used for the development of poor people. Also, people’s heath and lives are not being risked, as far as possible.

As I observe, currently, a word called ‘Hindutva‘ is smashing all the fundamental rights provided by the Indian constitution. India is one of the only countries where people from all religions and castes live together.

So, at the basic level, we need to raise our volume, not only to obtain peace and our rights, but so that we are a voice of growth for our beloved country, as well.

Upcoming election

I was sure that the graph of crime in Uttar Pradesh (UP) would attract a lot of attention, especially during election season.

Akhilesh Yadav, as a well-qualified leader, with a long-term political experience under the guidance of his father and the stalwart co-founder of Samajwadi Party, Mulayam Singh Yadav, is the best candidate.

During his tenure as the CM of UP, the following was carried out:

  1. Unemployment allowance
  2. Distribution of laptops to students
  3. Constructing a cycle track

And, there is a long lists of such remarkable efforts, for the people.

So, we must be ready to face all inequalities and fight back against discrimination, through non-violent protests. We need to keep writing and think of hundreds of ways to transform our India into a real republic.
