Love, they say, is the most enchanting emotion. Is love just limited to exchanging kisses, hugs, caresses and cuddles? Is love just limited to the love between a boy and a girl? Is love limited just to human beings? No! Love isn’t so narrow. It goes beyond these limitations.

Come, let me demystify love for you!

Love Is In The Kisses And The Fights

Love is when deep down, you and your partner are finding it difficult to tackle a financial crisis, but somehow, despite the stress, you manage to share all the love that you have in your heart with your partner and kids.

Not letting your kids know that there is a crisis, and at the same time, providing them with all the love they need. Such moments is where “love” is created.

Yes, love is about caressing one another, sharing kisses, holding your loved one tight, and having the best time with one another. But, love is also holding onto one another when the times are tough.

Love is when you know that your partner is falling, and you provide them with your shoulders to lean on, you tell them it’s okay for them to cry and break down in your arms.

Love is being each other’s strength. When they tremble while taking steps, remind them that you are there to hold them.

Tell them that you will be there to pick up their broken pieces, carefully. Help them get back on their feet in such a way that they will dare to stand again, but this time, they will be stronger than ever before.

Love isn’t just the charming aspects portrayed in romantic films, songs and books. Love is also about the challenges you go through whilst being each other’s strongest pillar, even when you both are fragmenting.

Love is beautiful, in all the prettiest and ugliest phases!

Love Of Blood And Beyond

Love isn’t just confined to dating the perfect someone from your dreams. It goes beyond that. Love is about loving the ones who brought you into this world: your parents.

They created you with the love they had, cherished you ever since you were born, raised you, and made you capable enough to withstand the worst life has to offer.

Now, it’s our turn to give them back the love they have showered upon us. Make them proud of what they have cherished for years!

Love is about appreciating the family your parents provide you. Let them know that they mean the world to you and let your actions speak louder than your words.

Be the best they could ever ask for. Become their support and pride.

Love is also appreciating the family you have created for yourself: your friends. Love is about standing by them, and reminding them that even if everyone turns their back towards them, you will still be there for them.

Be their strongest pillar, hold them tight, and enable them to stand up again.

Love Beyond The Binary

Love isn’t just about loving the so-called “opposite sex” as we have been told since our childhood. Let’s break this social construct, and create a love that goes beyond the binaries…

A love that sees no boundaries, a love that goes beyond blacks and whites, a love that goes into the greys and appreciates them.

Let’s create love stories for the future generations to come about not just a prince admiring a princess, but also about a prince praising a prince or a princess appreciating a princess, and more.

Let’s create a rom-com where the love of the prismatic (LGBTQIA+) community is celebrated, cherished, and told as tales to the generations that come.

Love Thy Nature

Love should also be about loving your pets, plants, other animals, all flora and fauna, water bodies, the sun, moon and stars.

Love is about appreciating mother nature and being grateful for that it raised you, delicately, in its lap. Love is loving nature, saving and protecting it. Try to give it more than what it offered you.

Thus, not only this valentine’s day, but every other day, make everyone around you your valentine. Cherish them and appreciate them!

Also, while doing so, don’t forget that you are also your valentine. So, give the same love to yourself too. Celebrating love isn’t just about one day, it’s about celebrating love every day, in its highs and its lows.
