Tulip garden in kashmir

The Zabarwan mountain range surrounds the tulip garden. Located on the banks of Dal Lake, the garden has nearly 1.5 million flowers of over 68 varieties (including red, yellow, pink tulips) spread over a 30-hectare terraced garden. This year 1.5 million flowers, especially tulips, have blossomed in the garden of Srinagar. Lakhs of visitors are expected after two years of lockdown due to COVID as governments ease COVID restrictions.

Tourists were seen dancing, enjoying and clicking selfies while walking in the garden amid the beautiful flowers of tulips. Khadija, a visitor, said, “I have heard this place is known as Heaven on Earth. Today I have witnessed it as well. Kashmir is mesmerisingly beautiful, and this garden is a cherry on top.”

The garden has been built in a terraced fashion on sloping ground, and, apart from tulips, other species of flowers that are grown here are daffodils, hyacinths, and ranunculus. It feels so good to be here. We are seeing unbelievable flowers, the beauty of Kashmir, a tourist from Gujarat, Nehal Mehta, said.

Another tourist, Viranshi, also from Gujarat, said, I had seen flowers in bouquets only so far. But, this is the first time I have seen such a wide variety of flowers in a garden, in so many colours. This is beautiful and mesmerising.
