To Find Peace Within, Be As Stubborn As COVID And Mutate

Is finding peace with oneself become one hard task? 2020 and 2021 made our lives complicated. We were all at some point left wondering what could be the end? Or will there be any new chores of possibilities for humankind? Of course, the pandemic has been cruel to us, so we are too with us.

It has been a social lockdown more than a physical one. Leaving everyone either pissed off or finding alternatives to cope with it. Even though so many people lost their jobs, business was down; lives were on halt, schools were shut down, favourite entertainment venues were closed, restaurants and whatnot.

Balancing the routine between physical, mental and spiritual health are priorities.

What’s more saddening was the loss of dear ones and social cut-off. The fact that people are social animals, with the coming of the new variant, one thing is sure, the virus is not over us yet.

However, we should reap the positive out of it. See what life is offering us, asking us to restart our programming. But this time with a pinch of a holistic approach in it. Our lifestyle, including our food habits, culture, etc., has changed over the years. While being less conscious about health and well-being, be it mental or physical.

Balancing the routine between physical, mental and spiritual health are priorities. Once we realise that there can be times when nature will overpower technology, science and discoveries, things will start looking clearer.

Last night, I read The 5 AM Club by Robin Sharma, which probably was a thing of 2021, thanks to my secret Sant. The book talked about prioritising four things:

  1. Mindset: Psychological wellness.
  2. Heartset: Emotional well-being.
  3. Healthset: Physical health.
  4. Soulset: Spiritual wellness.

I understood that I never tried to balance these sets in my life amidst the busy schedules and rat race. When I fall apart, I cry or be confused about life, like what is more important; earning more money or being happy with less. The clash between my dreams and passion, what I want to become, and what I am today. And sometimes what others think of me. My thoughts are a mess sometimes.

It’s only after stress, anxiety and poor health rip it all out of us, we frisk. The pandemic had the same effect on us. Consistency is essential in life by adding a little to your everyday life than once in a while is implicit, and I feel that’s how you find inner peace.

To find peace within is to understand, appreciate, build and create a being that is as stubborn as COVID. Let it mutate with time and bring out the best in you. In life, nobody can be absolutely free from anything and everything. We are all connected.

Jean-Jacques Rousseau said, “Man is born free but everywhere is in chains.” Similarly, our body is well connected to our mind and soul. If we take care of our inner needs and learn to love ourselves, peace will find us. Before loving someone else, one should start loving oneself. Meet the quietness of the mind, calmness of the soul and tranquillity of the physical body to attain bliss.

A little more of 6 a.m. sun rays, fresh air, a mindful walk in the garden, talk and listen, read, write or try healing therapy. Some self-time is what everyone should add to their daily routine now and then.

Finding time to dilute stress, divert one’s mind and heart to develop positive emotions and recreate vibrational energy is a way to find peace. Adding water to fill the empty spaces and staying hydrated is vital to conjure harmony.

Well, life can act like a fast-forward movie, and sometimes the playlist you want to listen to again and again. Watering the roots is more important than cleaning the leaves. Life is like the seasons and its changing colour but surviving is not enough.

To be happy is to be at peace with yourself. And, for ease to burgeon, love your ends, be in love. Never fall out of life. Life at peace is never a losing game.
