A blooming bud on a barren land
Fireflies sparkling around in silence
Within is a flower in nascent movement
Awaiting a butterfly’s touch.
Fluttering wings caress the petals
Fragrance permeates the dust
Tender legs smeared in pollens
Sow the grains of life.
Different dawns
Different buds
Different flowers
Different lives.
Like all that lives to die
Petals wither into dust
And far off blooms another flower
In the name of love.
