Unbeknownst to Nikhat Zareen, initially, the title was finally collected by her. It was a great honour for her. The type of sporting event was certainly not customary. Notwithstanding, she did achieve her expectations by her marvellous performance.
Her great success in winning the women’s World Boxing Championships in Turkey has been recorded in the history now. This news not only surprised boxing lovers, but also helped the golden girl earn tremendous praises for her international feat. Boxing lovers must have enjoyed her motions and moves of power punches!
She, as the worthwhile boxer of the country, through her remarkable show of play, beat Thailand’s Jitpong Jutamas 5-0 in the flyweight division of the championship. This reportedly helped her trend on social media. This publicity resulted in her elation that saw Zareen beam extra widely at the press conference after her outstanding performance.
This is our country’s first gold medal at the championship since Olympic boxer MC Mary Kom won in the year 2018. Kom has been a six-time champion at the tournament.
Other Indian women to win the gold medal include boxers Sarita Devi, Jenny RL and Lekha KC. So, it can be directly stated that Indian women can also accomplish wonderful goals in sports.
