Rahul Gandhi Hits Streets While PM Seems Unnerved

Rahul Gandhi hitting the streets after his disqualification as Member of Parliament and Congress aggressively organising protests and sit ins targeting PM Modi and Industrialist Adani over Hindenburg report momentum seems to be building in favour of Rahul Gandhi. Has scion of the first family effectively translated  the goodwill of Bharat Jodo Yatra launching scathing attacks on the ruling dispensation standing by the side of a businessman unapologetically amassing huge benefits and profits trying his hands in almost anything and everything from ports to airlines strategically devising his agenda and outcome.

Whatever it may be shouldn’t the Prime Minister be clearing the air surrounding the illicit trade practices of Mr Adani parking capital in off shore shell companies. Shares picking and plunging and with the public sector dwindling economy appears to be in a fix with inflation and unemployment at an all time high. Instead centre smells a conspiracy with opposition raising pitch for a JPC in Adani Gate to which the executive has totally turned deaf. Situation could have been slightly better had the centre monitored the matter of situation inside the Parliament by shielding Modi from all sorts of accusations and charges shifting goal posts pinning the adversaries of ruling dispensation responsible for ruckus.

Rahul Gandhi deserved an audience in the house but for dismay of emperor reprimanding him for being politically correct doesn’t behove a vibrant democracy like ours where plurality of thoughts are treasured, valued and preserved. Democracy is all about multiplicity of opinions, ideas and insights seizing and shrinking it will only make our political system and structure inept, dysfunctional and despotic prone to propaganda, polemics and populism of a kind. Atleast there should be a healthy debate in parliament without any disruption and disqualification for electorate to make out the truth without leaders jumping to the veil
