But the unexpected happened. Twenty-five PTI MPAs crossed party lines to support Hamza Shahbaz. The Assembly chamber erupted into chaos, with PTI and PML-N supporters clashing. Ewers flew, and tempers flared. The police entered the Assembly for the first time in its history, arresting three MPs.
Maryam Nawaz Takes the Helm
Amidst the tumult, the dust settled, and the votes were counted. Maryam Nawaz emerged victorious, securing 138 seats for the PML-N.
