With more than 150,000 road-accident related deaths in India in 2017 alone, the need for better roads, regulations and systems has never been more critical. Several initiatives, awareness campaigns, rules and laws exist, but how effective are they?

These learnings were drawn from a nationwide survey Youth Ki Awaaz and Safer Roads For Gurugram conducted in December 2018, which drew responses from over 7500 young people in the age group of 18-35 years, in Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities in India.
