Youth Ki Awaaz is excited to partner with Femme First Foundation for "She Runs Government Awards 2020" - India's first Awards for women politicians! These Awards will recognize and celebrate women political leaders of India. In 2020, we have seen the remarkable way in which women leaders across the world have governed their countries during this unprecedented crisis. With these Awards, Femme First Foundation wants to shine a light on our women politicians across various categories. We also feel that providing exposure to the outstanding work being done by women politicians on the ground will motivate and encourage more to follow the path. The She Runs Government Awards will strive to demonstrate the impact of women in political leadership.

After careful consideration, Femme First Foundation and YKA have decided to discontinue the categories of Outstanding Student Leader and Outstanding Youth Politician. Our voting system detected that most of the newly created accounts were fake and have been aimed towards these two categories. This jeopardises the fundamentals of people's choice award and therefore, it is only fair to drop the categories. Voting in other categories is still continuing and we encourage you to participate in high numbers.
