UPSC Mains 2023 Compulsory Hindi Paper Syllabus

The UPSC mains 2023 compulsory Hindi paper syllabus includes two qualifying papers. The total marks carried of this paper is 300. Candidates need to score at least 75 marks out of 300 to qualify for this paper.

Hindi Paper

Candidates' language proficiency is assessed in the language component, while their knowledge of the literature is evaluated in the literature section. The Hindi language test is composed of two parts, Paper 1 and Paper 2.

UPSC Hindi language compulsory syllabus for paper 1 is split into two parts. Section A of the syllabus for Hindi literature includes the History of Hindi Language and Nagari Lipi.

Paper 1, Section A

The section B syllabus of the Hindi language 2023 is extensive. It includes History, Sahitya, Drama, Criticism, etc. related topics. Candidates must properly prepare for these topics.

Paper 2

Candidates must read the relevant books for this paper. This paper evaluates critical thinking skills. Similar to paper 1, this is also divided into two sections, A and B, so it is important to thoroughly review the topics covered in each section.
