The IELTS (International English Language Testing System) exam consists of four sections, namely Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking.

Here are the four types of IELTS exams.

The Listening paper evaluates a candidate's ability to understand spoken English. You will listen to a range of recordings, including conversations, monologues, and academic lectures.

The Reading paper assesses the candidate's reading skills in English. You will read various texts, such as articles, newspapers, magazines, and excerpts from books.

The Writing paper measures a candidate's ability to express themselves in written English. It comprises two tasks.

The Speaking paper evaluates a candidate's oral communication skills in English. It consists of a face-to-face conversation with a certified examiner.

By incorporating these four papers, IELTS provides a comprehensive evaluation of an individual's English language proficiency across all major language skills.
