[Y]ral: This Latest TV Ad By The AAP Govt Is So Bad That It’s Hilarious!

By Shambhavi Saxena:

Need tips on how to make an ad campaign? The Aam Aadmi Party’s latest video is exactly what not to do. HuffPost India has already identified the troubling sexism of the video, and the over-acting Kejriwal devotee narrating the ad is bound to make you cringe. We wish we could say no bottle-gourds were harmed in the making of this ad. It’s almost surprising this ad hasn’t come from the Bharatiya Janta (“maaf nahi karegi”) Party – I mean, can we forget this gem they released in 2013? According to the Times of India, AAP “has till date spent about Rs 4 crore on all kinds of advertising, including outdoor, newspapers and TV spots,” that’s just adding insult to injury when you consider how bad this ad really is, and I’m not even talking about it being only 480p. It’s an irresponsible use of money, even if they adhered to the Supreme Court directive prohibiting images of the CM from any government ad – not that that does much, considering how many times the word “Kejriwal”, and then just plain “Arvind” is mentioned.
