Today the Tamil Nadu government claimed that drought is not the reason for farmers’ suicide in the state. Those who have died, took the extreme step due to family situations, ageing, heart attack, prolonged illness, it said in the detailed reply to Supreme Court over the issue on farmers’ suicide.
