There are three categories of university to study for Law:
Government Law Colleges – Entry by Board Examination Marks
Private Law Colleges – CLAT Cutoff
National Law Schools – CLAT/ Other Entrance Tests
CLAT is a single unified examination that is conducted for admission into reputed law schools. About 8,000 candidates had taken this test in the year 2008. The number multiplied to close to 43,000 by 2015.
Any student who has passed 10+2 can apply to this examination. There is no upper age limit and candidates who have given the exam in the previous year can also apply for this examination.
