Irrfan Khan’s Craft As An Actor Will Always Remain A Class Apart

In these challenging times, movie stars and fans were dealt a shock after the sad demise of veteran actor Irrfan Khan. The actor was admitted in Mumbai’s Kokilaben hospital for colon infection and died during surgery on April 29, 2020. Three days back, he couldn’t attend his mother’s funeral due to the lockdown and had to pay his respects through a video call.

The actor was admitted in Mumbai’s Kokilaben hospital for colon infection and died during surgery on April 29, 2020.

One of the finest actors in Bollywood, born in Jaipur, Rajasthan, Irrfan first tried his career in cricket but couldn’t afford ₹200–250 for a tournament. His life changed after he bagged his first role in Bollywood. When the first Jurassic Park came out in 1994, Irrfan didn’t have the money to buy the tickets. Fast forward to 2015, in the 4th installment of the franchise, Jurassic World, he played a lead role as Simon Masrani, the park’s owner.

Irrfan was one of the finest actors of both Bollywood and Hollywood. His struggles to become one of the best actors in the Indian film industry is inspiring. In real life, he was as humble as he was on screen. Movies like Piku, Paan Singh Tomar, Billu Barber, Hindi Medium, Lunchbox, Blackmail and Caravan are some of his best movies. He was a big star in Hollywood as well with movies like Slumdog Millionaire and Life of Pi. Slumdog Millionaire was one of the biggest successes of his life and helped him make a name for himself at an international level.

Irrfan was not as famous as the other Khans in our country, but he was as good, if not better when it came to acting. His performances were pure and realistic; he was a class apart. His latest film was Angrezi Medium with co-star Kareena Kapoor, and it is unfortunately his last on-screen role. Both Bollywood and Hollywood will cherish him. He will always be remembered for his simplicity, authenticity and realistic acting. We’ve lost one of our greatest icons.
