How This New Government Scheme Will Save Uncompetitive Phone Companies From Competition

Not too much to write here. The production-linked incentive scheme mandates that companies can only receive it if their phone costs at least $200. So, I’m still not clear on how this helps local companies, but foreign brands such as Samsung might be more keen on making phones costlier than $200 as they would then be able to get this subsidy.

So, they’ll stop focusing on manufacturing cheaper phones and this might help local phonemakers such as Lava and Karbonn. The official talking about this calls it a ‘learning curve’. No, they were learning when they had to be in the game and get pushed; now they’re just gonna be shittin about as they are not so worried about Samsung coming after their market share, all thanks to the government.

I don’t like seeing it but it’s definitely worth the time to point it out and take a shot at this. Ahhhg.
