Intolerant India: “The Fault Is Not Theirs, It’s Ours”

I completely believe that India is a tolerant country. I am pretty sure about that. But some people don’t want India to remain a tolerant country. They are dividing the country for their personal benefit. They are creating disputes among people and want to entertain themselves from those disputes. They are expanding their popularity with the help of rising intolerance that they have created. If you know about the people, then it is not a secret anymore. We all know who they are. They are our politicians. They don’t want India to remain a tolerant country.

The next question that automatically raises itself is why politicians are making India an intolerant country. It is because they are getting votes from this divide and rule politics. They are dividing people in the name of religion, caste, occupation and gender, and getting votes in the elections. To get the majoritarian people’s votes, they are using the divide and rule politics. If the politicians want votes from the Hindus, they just concentrate on them and start acting against the benefit of the minority communities. That is an open secret and we all know about this reason as well. Even though we know about the reason, why are we electing such kind of politicians?

That is the next question we have to ask ourselves. Why are we electing such politicians who are dividing this country for power? We have to think about that. Everyone in this country knows that they have the power to elect their political representatives. We can elect the good politicians who really want to improve the welfare of the people. We have such a kind of option, then then why are we electing the politicians who are dividing us? The fault here is not the politicians’. The real fault is ours. We are trying to make India an intolerant country.
