Is Congress Likely To Bring A Lady Leader Of Opposition In Madhya Pradesh?

The bad days of the grand old Congress party have not ended yet. The unimpressive display in the Madhya Pradesh by-polls and Bihar polls has disheartened its leadership. No strategy is doing wonders for the party. Serious consideration over the changes need to be done. In this regard, a meditation on divesting  Kamal Nath of his role as the leader of the Opposition has been floating. Will this take place soon?

Guesses in the political circles of the state are doing the rounds. There is a big probability of Kamal Nath leaving his very post.  The name of Dr Vijaylaxmi Sadho is said to running topmost in the party’s mind. She has played a solid role in bringing victory to the party at one important seat. The Congress party wants to give a chance to the female leader of the opposition, so her name as political pundits comes to the fore. This kind of change has certainly necessitated after the heavy defeat in bye-elections that concluded in Madhya Pradesh earlier this year.

A meditation on divesting  Kamal Nath of his role as the leader of the Opposition has been floating. Will this take place soon?

According to hearsay, after the by-poll debacle earlier this month, the Congress Party High Command had asked Kamal Nath to quit one of the posts including that of the MPCC Chief and Leader of Opposition in Legislative Assembly. Party leaders including Bala Bachchan, Vijaylaxmi Sadho, NP Prajapati and others have been on the hunt for a suitable candidate for the important post.

The party is also intending to depute two contentious yet powerful youth leaders from the state unit to elsewhere in other states to relieve dissent among the state unit office bearers. A large number of newly appointed PCC office bearers were removed after the grand old party faced defeat in the last by-elections in the state.

The very conversation about which leader would fit on this position has not yet closed. Who would have thought that someday, there’d be enough options to search for a better leader? So when the party finally comes up on what seemed to be the best option out there, the existing one would go.
