Will 2021 Wipe Out The Dread, Panic And Shock Of 2020?

NEW DELHI, INDIA - NOVEMBER 25: A girl is seen wearing a face mask due poor air quality, at Vikas Marg, on November 25, 2019 in New Delhi, India. Pollution levels in Delhi-National Capital Region increased marginally on Tuesday, mainly due to slow wind speed, while the situation in the next 48 hours depends on the intensity of rains, officials said. An AQI between 201 and 300 is considered 'poor', 301-400 'very poor' and 401-500 'severe'. (Photo by Sanchit Khanna/Hindustan Times via Getty Images)

Many of us will make resolutions once again as the fresh year approaches fast. What is the guarantee that those will not be broken immediately? Because we won’t do anything distinct. The year keeps on coming and departing as per the revolutionary cycle. We don’t normally commit agendas, we merely wish or desire.

2021 will now become 2021, a departure from a leap year to a normal or common year. The farmers are protesting amid the cruel cold climate pervading all over the capital’s border. The year ends amidst the doubt whether the farmers are saving their Mandi, MSP and if the government will provide safeguards to them.

On the political periphery, the ruling party is trying to enter West Bengal through the electoral fight while the Congress party is still oscillating at the turbulent tides within the party. The most remarkable march on the political plain comes from Owaisi who wants to give a credible colour to his party through its expansion in every state. It is only then its all India wording will be asserted.

On the financial front, the most betrayed remained all those parents or guardians who had to pay the entire fee of an academic year without running of the schools. The common man continued to bear the stings of inflation with the least hopes of better days ahead.

On the international level, the refined way of denial was presented by none other than the US President who is supposed to be shifted in the first month of the coming new year. Newly elected president Joe Biden has already made his impressive mastery over American minds. No matter if India is willing to sell its rice to China despite border rivalry. Friendly relations with neighbours appear vital.

What kept us anxious throughout the departing year was nothing but a deadly virus, we all know. But what remains more disturbing now is that normalcy is returning to Wuhan, the Chinese city, where the coronavirus pandemic first kicked off. Its nightlife, with joyful revellers dancing and crowd-surfing without a mask in sight, is once again in sight. However, vaccines seem to be ready for insulating us. But will it wipe out the dread, panic or shock? We can only pray and crave for the beneficiation of Almighty.
